A trip into history. Good tour guides. They know factual history and are very knowledgeable.

Nice and quiet when compared to the craziness of New Orleans. We took Uber there and back. Staff were very informative.

The boat trip to get here was fun. It was cold that day, so we didn't wander around on the outside of the boat. Scenery was viewed from inside. Thank goodness there was a small museum on property or it would have been a boring experience. Not much to look at but a field and a bunch of giant trees. The park ranger told interesting stories outside under the trees. The museum had a nice layout and shared authentic dress from the period, plus other soldier things (playing cards, canteen, weapons, etc).

Took the creole queen cruise. The narration of the Nola history was very interesting. The battlefield is a good place to spend time.

Great place. Nice for family walks to soak up some knowledge.
