I started asking for help at 9:25 and now I’m leaving at 10:16. Never got help and even asked an employee directly to help me are get me help. But this is the thing, I walked in the eltonics department all the time waving my hand and with a just abouve normal tone saying “ please help me customer needs help”. What I wanted to buy was $399.00 behind a locked glass cabinet. I will do everything in my power not to come to this Walmart ever. That the Chalmette one. I will use K- Mart, one of the dollar stores, or online. All people not happy with Walmart we should do what we say. This is the last time I roll over just to do business with Walmart. I will stick to my word. I will place my order in the morning online or let’s not forget about Best Buy. Stick together that’s where our strength comes from. I detest this place. I remember when Walmart proudly sold MADE IN AMERICA merchandise. Now, it’s all made in China, EVEN SOME OF THE AMERICAN FLAGS ARE MADE IN CHINA. While some of the employees are nice and helpful, most are rude and could care less about the customers. I have seen employee stealing, reported it, and witnessed the same employee stealing again and again.
Overall I really try to avoid Walmarts (not because I hate the company, it's just a time suck) but sometimes it's quite literally the only the only place besides Amazon with the item I need, which is bizarre to think really.
The store more than half the time doesn't have what I need cashier are rude sales floor not interested in helping or says hi.
It's a Walmart, it generally has everything you need. Staff is somewhat helpful, most don't seem to care about their job and some will openly complain. I had customer service refuse a return of some protein drinks despite me having a receipt. They likened it to returning a prescription. I had to call the Walmart's 1800 number to even get any traction, it as absolutely ridiculous, the store manager said she was at the mercy of the lead pharmacist and had no way to override her call on the matter. I had to speak to the district manager to secure a return of literally $30 of product. The bathrooms are disgusting to the point that the employees comment. Just like every Walmart the cash registers are understaffed (not a huge problem most of the time..I'll get to that)
I still give a mediocre rating because most of the time they have exactly what you need and even have some brands and items you wouldn't expect or aren't carried by other Walmart's. It's open 24/7. It has Scan-N-Go check out which helps out with not having enough cashiers. Sales are pretty good.
Well stocked and staffed, they always have what I need no matter time or day of week. Only 24 hours location near New Orleans. Has a Murphy USA gas station as well with very competitive fuel prices. Worth the 20 minute drive from the French Quarter.
The hair salon actually does really good job and isn't expensive and the nail shop is fantastic but sort of high compared to other places in the area.
